Sustainability
Our Commitment
At British Concrete, we’re proud to lead the charge towards a greener, more sustainable future with an ambitious target of achieving Net Zero emissions by 2034. As part of this commitment, we’ve implemented innovative Concrete Recycling initiatives, ensuring that all old concrete is repurposed into high-quality aggregates and sub-base materials to re-enter the construction industry. These recycled materials will be used across Road, Rail and Infrastructure projects throughout Greater NSW and beyond, minimising waste and supporting a circular economy.
“We’re committed to ensuring that 100% of concrete removed is recycled back into use. This is a vital step in advancing our Net Zero mission and protecting our environment for future generations,” said Hilary Cairns, General Manager.
Our dedication to sustainability isn’t just a goal—it’s action. We’re proud to build better, smarter, and more sustainably for our communities and the planet.

At British Concrete, we recognise and deeply respect the traditional custodians of the land on which we operate—the Dharug and Gundungurra People—and we pay our respects to their Elders past, present, and emerging. Based in Greenacre, NSW, we are committed to fostering meaningful partnerships with Indigenous communities, creating opportunities for employment, education, and collaboration that empower and support local aspirations.
We acknowledge that the land we work on holds cultural, spiritual, and historical significance, and we are privileged to build our future on this Country. British Concrete is dedicated to promoting inclusivity, understanding, and the sharing of opportunities while honouring the rich heritage and traditions of the Dharug and Gundungurra People.
Our commitment goes beyond business; it’s about building stronger, more connected communities through respect, recognition, and opportunity. We’re proud to walk this journey in partnership with the Traditional Owners of this land.
